Wateen Telecom are now ready to conduct WCG 2008 tournament which will select the Pakistani team that will participate in the international competition later this year.

The event will be conducted in 8 cities with 18 participating gaming cafes nationwide. It will be the largest event of this scale ever conducted in Pakistan and will be marking the launch of Wateen’s Online Gaming Service.

The café preliminaries will be conducted from 20th Sept onwards with the National Final in Lahore, Pakistan on the 4th-5th of October. We are expecting over 5000 thousand participants country-wide to compete in 6 games for a prize money of 3 lakhs along with the opportunity to represent Pakistan in the WCG Grand Finals to be hosted in Cologne, Germany later this year.
